Lummis Slams Sec’y Geithner Over Cap & Trade
Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) recently took on multi-year tax cheat and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner on the issue of cap and trade taxes on energy. In her statement to the Treasury Secretary, she noted the fear the people of Wyoming are expressing on the economic policies of the new administration, including energy.

Tea Party For Cowboys July 4th
It’s amazing what the media can inspire the people of this great nation to do. Sometimes, they can inspire us to do really stupid things like vote for a ravaging socialist commi liberal. And then there are those times that a lone voice will cry out from the wilderness occupied by the drive-by’s and echo [...]
Wyoming Stuff That Needs Blogged
My goodness, am I ever behind in my blogging! I think I’m still recovering a little from Election Year Burnout, that “disorder” where you just go all out in all things political, keeping the midnight petroleum ignited until the first rays of sunshine beam through the window.
Fear not, I’ve still got my passion for politics, [...]
Wht I’m Voting…..Democrat?!?!?!?
I about fainted when I saw that Karen Sautter had joined a Facebook group called Why I’m Voting Democrat. I was stunned beyond belief. After all the work she’s done for YR’s, especially on ThisIsMyParty.org, how could she turn so quickly on her party?
So, I did what any good investigative reporter wouldn’t do, and checked [...]

Cody Life Chain Draws Record Crowd
Sunday, October 5, Life Chains were done in numerous cities and towns across the nation and in Canada, recognizing the need for protection of the most vulnerable segment of humanity, the unborn. The events involved people silently standing along roadways holding signs proclaiming the harm that abortion does to children and women, as well as [...]
***WYGOP Congressional Primary Alert***
My name is Scott Bothwell; I’m not running for anything, but I approved this blog post.
I have made some comments about Mark Gordon in recent posts. People may be wondering why I have commented the way I have done so. There haven’t been many comments, but they have ranged from wondering why Rep. Cubin didn’t [...]
So, Now There’s a Front-Runner?
My fellow Americans, I come to you with a warning. The media is propagating a myth. I’m not talking about global warming (though I don’t buy that one either). I speak of the myth of “the front-runner.” Ever since Jan. 3, there has been, according to the media, “no clear front-runner” in the Republican presidential [...]
Political Season Underway in WYOMING!!!
The first Saturday of the year 2008 the Wyoming Republican Party did something historic and chose the first delegates in the Presidential nomination process. I also did something historic and attended my first Republican County Convention and had the privilege of being brought from the depths of an alternate voting delegate to the position of [...]
Yes, I’m Still Around
I figured I should make a quick appearance here on the Groundswell. I am still blogging, which I recently took a recess from. I figured if Congress could, I would try it out. In the mean time, I got addicted to Facebook. Then I realized, I had let slide A LOT of good blogging topics. [...]
What Strategy?
Christopher Adamo opines:
Despite the fact that (Gov.-Elect) Jindal’s approach proved overwhelmingly effective, the party insiders refuse to be dissuaded from their unworkable “strategy,” which involves the perverted version of Reagan’s “Big Tent” that pretends to stand for everything, while hoping the base does not realize that it actually stands for nothing. And it promises to [...]
Rep. Holt (D-NJ12), Have You Ever Been to Wyoming???
Sometimes I really wish some elected officials would just not say anything. I really try to let people have their opinions. I might disagree with them on moral, philosophical, political, or preferential reasons, but, hey, by all means, have your opinion. Even if I believe you’re wrong, I’ll try to convince you I’m right. Now, [...]
