Excited and Optimistic
We now have the opportunity to put a face on Socialism. We only had this opportunity with foreign tyrants, yet today, we have that opportunity with the highest office in our land. I am excited and optimistic that what they mean for evil, God turns to good!
Refocusing on our backyards, is what we have to do in the coming days. We must simply develop our networks, expand our presence on this new media and lift up our conservative neighbor. Awakening, Standing Up, and Stepping into Action will effect our political landscape in our local backyards.
This election proves that conservatism is not electable in moderation. Conservatism must be stood upon firmly and defended upon every opportunity into grassroots action. It is time to get Grizzly my friends!
It is time to recommit yourselves to your backyard and with lifting up your fellow conservatives nationwide!
Many great Americans fell this election to defeat in their elections. However, I am asking these great Americans to work with me and together to assure that in two years, the story will be very different.
We must chase the socialist squirrel moderate metro centrists out of our Republican party. We must welcome with open arms our lost membership that struck out on their own to lift up third parties. We must recapture our Republican Party with conservative thought, voice and image into grassroots action.
Recognize this great opportunity my conservative friends. We have the opportunity of our life times in the next two years. Our military faithful, our weak and infirm are depending upon us to regain our footing and win the hearts and minds of a lost American people. We can do this, simply and profoundly.
Get ready to get Grizzly, not in radicalism but in founding documents informed and embodied. Radicalism will only defeat our movement. We must be constrained by the rule of law and our ideals. This is essential and I can not more forcefully shout this through out our ranks. This essentially was the stumbling stone of Barry Goldwater who I hold up in admiration. We are better then radicalism and radicalism will only defeat ourselves before we begin.
Within the law and within our own high ideals, there is a way to accomplish our goals. E. W. Everson did it in 1921 with his IVA league. Essentially all he did was unite the conservative thought, voice and image and revealed the corruption and tyranny that always walks hand in hand with socialism.
This may sound simplistic, but it is very effective and lends itself to this new media very well.
The Grizzly Groundswell is launching some great tools this new year to assist us in coming together and accomplish goals set forth by our conservative movement. The Beta site we just launched is the Grizzly Groundswell Prairie Fire. It is our action center for our members, readers, listeners, authors, radio show hosts, and commentators.
We are also launching the Grizzly Groundswell Fighting Squad that will travel this country training conservatives to blog and have their very own online radio show. We will offer other classes but we are committed not only in growing our ranks and teeth online, but also affording them the tools that with the Grizzly Groundswell Networks will lift them up out of the anonymity of the cybersphere. Networking and equipping our online masses is essential for attaining our conservative movement goals in as little of time as two years.
In our face to face classes conservatives will walk out with a blog or online radio show in hand, ready to effect their political landscape in their backyard, inspiring others to do the same as the Grizzly Groundswell starts prairie fires of grassroots action all across this nation.
However, I can not do this on the back of my family finances forever. I need not only your support but your donations as well. The sites are paid up for another year and a half with hosting thanks to a generous gift of $250 by a reader of my blog almost a year ago. The Prairie Fire and especially the Fighting Squad is in desperate need of your charity. I can not do what I know will assist our conservative movement on the back of my family finances alone. I am not a monetarily rich man. I am a wealthy man of conservative conviction and creativity that can be a catalyst like my great grandfather E. W. Everson was when he defeated Socialism in 1921 recalling the very first Governor in American History, derailing the socialist Non Partisan League that had deceived the farmer and the union worker to gain socialist tyrannical power that spread like a prairie fire across North Dakota and the Midwest on the verge of going national.
E. W. Everson and his IVA had to unite conservatives in all three parties: Republican, Democrat and Independent to do it. I am calling upon all conservatives to unite with me and this fight my great grandfather succeeded in 1921.
The mistake E. W. Everson and the IVA made was dismantling their organization as they thought the fight was won. The battle was won but this war waged on. The socialists then surged to power again after my great grandfathers death and joined with the Democrat party. The Democrat party in North Dakota still bears their name, NPL-DEM. My friends, Socialism has taken control of our country and it is up to us to battle them without radicalism, and only in patriotism and conservative grassroots action.
I am calling all conservatives, I need your talents, your skills your prayers and your treasure so that we can accomplish our goals. Please donate using the widget below and contact me grizzlygroundswell@chadeverson.com or skype 763-244-3265.
Take a day if you must, but fortify yourself and this conservative Grizzly Groundswell in prayer and your donations. We must come together, the fight is at hand and we must lay down our firm foundation today and onward. Many generations to come are depending upon our talent, our skill and our commitment to this movement. Do not let our children’s children down!
God Bless you, our troops and America!

All good plans that should give conservatives a glimmer of hope, Chad!
Newt had some interesting thoughts last night….
“The first fact of the 2008 election is the failure of the Republican Congress and the Republican president,” said former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. “John McCain ran 24-plus points ahead of President Bush’s job approval - an amazing achievement. This was a performance election not an ideological election.”
We need to re-examine our goals and agenda, and I think we need to get back to the Goldwater/Reagan values. That the Republicans were punished (for good reason) is beyond doubt. Identifying and encouraging current office holders is important. So to will be finding, training and moving along a new generation of conservative leaders.
–Tom
Training conservatives to blog? Well, if your comments are any example, please start them off with a dictionary, or teach them how to use spell check.
@Ridgeliner7: Tom, Great insight. We need to think based in conservative thought, voice and image but more creatively in our action and our grassroots Grizzly Groundswell! We also need a buy in of assets from our Conservatives with the means! If any conservative wants some solutions especially online in this new media, I hope you contact me. If I can do all this with $250, what could I do with some real money?
I think we have to celebrate our victories. Conservative Christianity really won a big race with Michele Bachmann here in Minnesota! She is my Congress Woman! We also have this election to prove that conservatism in moderation is a real electoral loser. Conservatism can not be moderated. It must be full force and free to state the truth, no strike that, Proclaim the truth.
Unfortunately, we have been taken over by Socialism without a shot fired. And this is how we must retake our party our Government and our Country as well as our beloved institutions.
I will work on my backyard if you work on yours and we will help each other all across this nation.
~Chad Everson
@Egads, the ignorance: congratulations you get the Socialist Squirrel quote of the day! It is a fair comment and I chuckled when I read it, thanks for that. You should be gathering your nuts while you can!

Speaking of Minnesota, the vote between Coleman and Frankenstein (sorry, couldn’t resist) was very close. Do we have a definite result yet?
Socialism has been in effect in the USA for a long time. Wasn’t it Reagan who oversaw the implementation of the Earned Income Tax Credit? If Obama is a socialist, then so is McCain and so was Reagan.
I would hope that your commitment to conservative values also includes a commitment to honesty and integrity. Calling Obama a socialist without also mentioning that the USA is a quasi-socialist system (pretending that the US hasn’t historically had socialist characteristics) shows a lack of honesty and integrity (or maybe just awareness).
@Bigfoot:
They are giving it to Coleman, although Franken is contesting, there will be a recount.
United we stand divided we fall…good post my friend, good post.
As the minutes ran into hours and the hours ran into now, it’s time for me to get some rest. For I’ve been up through the night until now…
E-mails averaged into the hundreds per hour and I tried with all my heart and soul to answer as many as possible…and then there were the comments on various blogs, some short and some long…
It’s been a long day my friend, a very long day…
Keep up the good work for freedom is not totally lost yet…and may it never reach ‘yet’
God Bless !
@We’ve been socialist for a while: No I totally agree with you. Big Government breads Socialism. Even Reagan’s administration was guilty of it. I am sure all of us have bought in to the great deception of socialism from one time or other. However, this does not make it right and socialism light is no longer acceptable.
Charity is totally acceptable, however, using the Government to forward Socialism is not!
Income tax, yes is subject as well. The Abraham Lincoln Republican Party fought so that all labor, should not be subject to Government intervention. No union or Government should have their hands in a citizens ability to market their labor on the market.
Thus, If we follow this to it’s natural conclusion, taxes are essential, but everyone should be able to sell their labor, the sweat of their brow, without anyone taking anything out of it. However, taxes must be paid, I suggest a check on April 14th to the Government for the total amount.
There are some real fundamental issues that now we have to re-engage in the political arena. I am excited about this opportunity to put a face on socialism. It affords us conservatives the opportunity to bring this discussion to the forefront.
Did you really think I would not acknowledge the evil of Socialism that has been present in our country?
Are you that dense to think that I had no idea?
You my friend have exposed your bias for the world to see, and this is just what I am counting upon in an Obama administration!
Socialist Squirrels can not help themselves, they want all the nuts! That is why there are so many Nuts surrounding them!
Chad Everson
I did not fight my ass off for the last two years so I could do the kumbaya thing.
My mind has not changed one bit.
Nothing has changed other than the fact that Obama will be our president.
The man is dangerous and yes, there will be plenty of I told you sos.
The man has no record whatsoever of being a uniter.
The leftist media, hatred for Bush, and McCains crappy campaign are the only reason he lost.
The right man lost for all the wrong reasons.
But thats OK. This is the cycle our system takes and the next four years will only serve as an example to all the things we warned everyone about.
Obama will be a one term president that the masses will loath by his 2nd year.
And a republican will be elected in 2012.
We will have our work cut out for us, we will not get along as some of these delusional idiots believe, and we will not move to Canada.
One thing you will not see me doing is treating the man as unfairly as the left has treated Bush.
Those who voted for Obama would serve themselves well to not be too exuberant untill the man actually delivers , seeing as how he has never really delivered anything before I wouldnt get my hopes too high.
I’ve been prouder when my dog learned to sit.
Some say that Obama won this race fair and square.
I disagree. He lied on the campaign financing issue.
Plain and simple.
Along with a selective and leftist media there was nothing fair about it at all.
While the media did not drag McCain through the mud as handidly as they could of, they intentionally did not approach/report/or mention many of the questions surrounding Obama. Along with his own lack of will to define himself, this is why you and I still see this man as a mystery.
Was he lucky?
A very small percentage of his votes were due to luck. He played on race, peoples lack of gratitude, greed, “things cant get any worse” and the hatred of a good man in office. Much of that hate, he created himself.
Almost every black person in the country voted for him.
Racism is alive and well on the left.
Not every white person voted for McCain
I pray to God for Obama’s safety.
Just the suggestion that he double his protection has lead some to say that I am presenting something in a suggestive manner.
When I said I would do everything in my power to see that he is replaced mid term or never re elected I was automatically accused by hypersensative moonbats of propelling a violent act.
Few realize that hurting the man physically is not whithin my power, or intention.
Because hes a decent enough guy with people who love him and racism is still alive and well in America we should pray our rumps off that nothing ever happens to this man for the sake of innocent lives.
As far as electing a black man goes.
I still am not sure if I should be dissappointed or impressed.
I’ve run into so many people that placed their vote only to show the world our abilty to be diverse instead of voting on the mans merits.
And then there was the simple loyalty vote that makes me ill to even think about.
I have always been oblivious to race in my decisions.
This is why it always blows my mind whenever it becomes an issue, it has never played a role in my decisions or thoughts unless some else brings it up or puts it in the mix first.
Barack Obama keeps speaking of wanting to unite people, and a few kind words about our current President would be a well received olive branch. If he does I believe it will be for expedient purposes only.
His campaign was was centered on beating this man up for almost everything he did.
In my opinion it would be a huge example of hypocrisy unless he admits at the same time that some of his attacks on Bush were unfair and even spiteful to some extent.
He has no record whatsoever of ever uniting left and right.
His record clearly shows he has always gone with the left.
I sincerely hope that all he wants to accomplish will work for this country, and especially those who voted for him.
I’m absolutley sure the man means well and that his intentions for America are that of peace and prosperity.
However, one mans prosperity is another mans trash.
Hopefully when he sits in that oval office for the first time he will be able to look around and see that our country is greater than he has been lead to believe by some rather unsavory elements and influences in his life.
And at the same time, I hope that the briefings he’s going to recieve in the next couple of months will enable him to see our enemies for what they really are.
I hope it works, I really do. And if I can support the man on what I believe will be best for us I will.
But I still have more doubts and more questions than I’ve ever had for any candidate ever
@Mickbear:
MickBear, Glad to have you back and Grizzly! Great comment as always! Now I need your help exposing socialism for what it is in the next two years. I agree, it will not take buyers remorse that long, but two years, maybe one, they all will want him removed and his socialist squirrel administration and ideals! Not by force or radicalism, but by law.
Chad Everson
I’ve been out in the jungle doing my thing, in my case its not a full metal jacket, its all squirrel skin.
I came home for a breather and to let you all know i didnt forget you.
I’ll be here more often, I guarantee it.
The next four years will only serve to show others what we warned them of.
@Mickbear:
I know you have been hard at it! I am just glad to have you in the trenches with us! We need you now more then ever!
~Teddy Bear
The feeling is mutual. Much of my motivation was spawned right here.
Thats why I’m here.
Egads, #2
You resemble quite emphatically whats wrong with you and your ilk.
Instead of actually having a message you attack ones style instead of his substance, much like Obama, all stlye, no substance.
This is why he has rightfully earned the title of being an empty suit.
So far, this has proven true not 1/2 an hour after his being annointed the messiah.
In his speech last night he warned his lemings that much will not be done in his first term. Whodathunk ?
Crust o mighty(on the grilled cheese sandwich) the man has nothing to how for his first term and hes already looking for re election. All while at the same time making a buffer for himself, after all his promises, he says dont expect too much from me in the first 4 years.
YOU GOT HOSED BROTHER !!!!
If you and I should ever converse face to face I doubt you would be able to detect the spell check mechanism inside my head as I would probably fuck yours up so bad you wouldnt know if you were coming or going.
Maybe we could arrange a debate on Grizzly talk radio and you will get a chance to show us exactly what it is you envision, what you hold, that places you as so superior.
Or will you resort to critisizing my linguistics when your points and positions have been shitcanned by common sense ?
Another thought, which I was originally hesitant to make publicly, we need to redefine, better define, conservative, etc.
We aren’t going to get anywhere so long as the public perceives a meanness of spirit, that old “conservative asshole” perception. While Ann Coulter is a very old friend, outside of politics, her brand of bombast, while entertaining, and offered as her signature style, won’t cut it with the electorate.
We somehow have to find the talent and tools to make limited government, at its base what conservatism is, the belief in the talent and skills of the individual, joyous!
Reagan was a conservative. No one thought him ever to be mean of spirit, of ever wanting to hold anyone back. The same cannot be said to most of our so-called conservative leaders. You guys know who they are. Fit to lead, but not fit as a public face.
Being a “conservative” cannot be allowed to continue to mean parsimonious, dour, stodgy, finger-wagging or holier than thou. We, as conservatives, need to do some growing up. As Ronald Reagan demonstrated, in our Constitutional Republic, we will never achieve ‘purity of conservative thought’. We need to be more willing to be accommodative, and stop the tendency to ‘eat our young’.
The party that can offer alternative ideas that catch fire, without ANY of the rancor we have just seen in this election, will prosper.
Ronald Reagan and Bill Buckley may have hated the things liberals believed in, but they never hated liberals, many of whom were their close friends.
They both hearken back to an era of elevated public discourse when we did not see the crass and often vulgar insults that pass for political discourse on the airwaves and online.

@Mickbear: Now ain’t this fun?
Re:Re:We’ve been socialist for a while
But it’s disingenuous to claim that only now can we put a face on socialism. I have some bad news for you: socialism (in the exaggerated sense that you seem to be using it) has had a very public face for a long time, it has fifty stars and red and and white stripes.
In fact, I’d say that judging by the number of votes the “socialist” party got yesterday, America isn’t to enthused about the way “conservatives” have been running things.
What you ought to be more enthusiastic about is the fact that the impending implosion of the Republican Party will help you put a face on conservatism. The country just roundly rejected the people who have been claiming to be conservative because they screwed things up so badly.
What you ought to be more concerned with is traditional conservative values being co-opted by religious groups who will actually work against any efforts at achieving true liberty (see Michelle Bachman).
18.
Would you care to elaborate on what socialism or forms of it are very “public” in the USA ?
If the MSM was not as bias as it obviously is there would be no need to put a new face on anything except for the left as it has only been characterized as not able to do any wrong,
No doubt conservatism has been villified and falsely portrayed by the MSM to the point that its no doubt there are those likr who are lead to believe it must change its platform and image.
Aint gonna happen in this corner bro.
Obama ran a campaign on existing hate for anything conservative. This was nurtured to fruition among the moonbat left by his consistant referals to Bush.
And now, in his victory speech he calls for an end to partisanship.
Gee, now that its over, and hes holding the reigns its time to drop our weapons ?
When partisanship was the foundation of his campaign ?
Obama;
“Let’s resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long.”
What a f*ckin hypocritical ass
19.
Progressive taxation is nothing new in America. Wealth redistribution is nothing new in America. Socialism re:Obama has more to do with rallying the conservative troops than any sort of radical rush towards actual socialism in America. It’s an appeal to emotion for appealing to emotional people.
It’s difficult to convincingly claim that actual conservatism has been villified by the media. The media ignores actual conservatives (see Ron Paul) and offers up fake conservatives (who are all too happy to claim the title) as real conservatives.
The only way you can presume Obama campaign had nothing to do with hating conservatives is to also presume that his primary target, the Bush Administration, is actually conservative. If you think the Bush Administration, or any significant portion of the Republicans in Congress is actually conservative, then you are not an actual conservative. Seriously. Neoconservative is not the same thing as conservative.
Perhaps when you know what real conservatives look like you will be better equipped to comment on the existence of MSM bias against them.
As far as Obama’s campaign goes, it is important to note the distinction between partisanship, as in, “my opponent would make a bad president” and partisanship, as in, “I refuse to acknowledge that the other side of the aisle has anything useful to offer”. The first one is part and parcel of any election campaign, the second one is the kind of thing folks like you seem to buy into.
And yet you offer no example or anything to substantiate this except for your opinion ?
No doubt there has always been wealth reditribution in America.
What most fail to reckognize is the difference between contributions that maintain a physical and economic infrastructure as oppsed to those that distribute to entitlement minded leechs that neither earned or deserved it.
Your arguement is baseless and stands on minute pedantics and definitions.
Obamas uselessness outweighs any thing he has to offer.
I stand by my position as its evident that his own words have contradicted himself to hypocrisy
21
Odd that you’d call out my use of “opinion” immediately before spouting off extensively about your opinion.
When you complain about people failing to recognize the distinctions between different kinds of wealth redistribution, do you include most contemporary conservatives? Because as far as I can tell, they’re the folks making such a huge issue about wealth redistribution. Are you saying that its some sort of code? That they really don’t have a problem with “wealth redistribution” per se, because they are all well aware that a certain amount of wealth redistribution is essential for the government to properly function? That they just say they have a problem with wealth redistribution because: ????
To be clear, I think your definition of wealth redistribution is overly broad, I wouldn’t necessarily include infrastructure in there.
It sounds to me like you aren’t against wealth redistribution at all, there are just certain ways you don’t want wealth to be redistributed. If that’s the case, why all the sophistry about socialism and wealth redistribution? Why go out of your way to trumpet a simplistic and inconsistent philosophy?
When you say
“You argument is baseless and stands on minute pedantics and definitions” I am reminded of when Bill Clinton qualified one of his statements during the Monica Lewinsky affair. He said “Well, it depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is.”
Perhaps you think that using the actual definition of words in the English language is pedantic, but shit man, I bet you can feel me when I say to you: If you’re going to live in my country, speak the language.
The main problem conservatives have had in the past, I see above.
Too much wonk, not enough popularism.
Politicians of every stripe, can be shown to be wafflers. On the surface, ipso facto.
However, like McCain being shown to have voted against the new GI Bill…..voting against just one version of it, is not in and of itself being against the troops.
Without being able to give extensive citations, which would render the topic too dull for most to read, descending into too much detail as to Socialism in America is pointless.
The United States, is not a Socialist Country. Yet. Adopting some aspects of Socialism, by virtue of necessity, due to extraordinary circumstances, does not make us so.
This needless finickiness as to definition, defeats us before we begin.
So you’re saying that we ought not to pay too much attention to what words actually mean, and instead focus on what we want them to mean?
Nothing Obama has talked about doing is much of a radical departure from business as usual. If Obama is a socialist, then so is United States.
Well, some of Obama’s espoused ideas, during the campaign, were indeed Socialist. Of course campaigns are planned, designed, to let people take what they want to from speeches.
Income redistribution, in the strictest sense, is indeed Socialist. Obama seemed to have a more far-reaching idea in mind, when he talked about it……more of a direct “Robinhood” approach.
Obama’s entire past, his associations, by his own admission in his books, is entirely Socialist-friendly. He has carefully flirted with it, and those who believe in it, be design. His climb to power began before most knew, and he has been very methodical about it.
I only hope his planning is as careful about dealing with the leftists he courted, because if not, their ire will be his undoing.
Election year rhetoric aside, Americans in general are socialist friendly. The public school system? Socialism. The national highway system? Socialism. The military? Socialism. Why can’t private business handle these things? Why does the goverment need to steal my hard-earned wages to pay for things that ought to be taken care of by the market? Stop me if I’m being to pedantic.
I know you think Obama has socialist ideas. All that I’m trying to point out is that nothing Obama wants to do is all that radical in light of the clear comfort most Americans have with socialist principles.
If you want to know how socialist Obama really is, you should go find someone who actually knows what socialism is, namely someone who self-identifies as a socialist, and get their opinion on him. Want to know what they’ll tell you? They don’t really like him either.
I mean come on. According to Mickbear, the Bush administration and the Republican powers that be are conservatives. How many of them voted for the socialist bail-out of Wall Street?
The word socialism as it exists in conservative political discourse means nothing. Every time I try to nail down the definition I get accused of trying to play some sort of semantic game, or of being pedantic.
@We’ve been socialist for a while: Let me teach you like you should of been taught in kindergarten. A man and his liberal friend just come out of a bar. There is a musician who is really good panhandling just outside on the sidewalk. They stop for a while enjoying the jam.
Charity is when the man pulls out his wallet and gives the great musician a $5 bill.
Socialism is when the liberal friend demands with shame and intimidation that he take out his wallet again and give the musician a $20 bill. Then if that is not bad enough the liberal friend dives into the hat to take back the $5 bill and keeps it for his good deed. This my friend is Socialism.
Here is another Metaphor for your education.
Sally and Suzy are selling lemonade on the corner. Sally buys the kool aid, provides the cups and crayons and sign. She also supplies her little brother and his bike to drum up business, the table and table cloth that her mom let her use. Sally is a good girl and tells her friend that even though she has purchased and provided for the cost of goods, she is still going to split the profits with Suzy 50/50. All the expenses for Kool aid, sugar, cups, napkins and a new spoon to mix the product came to a even $5. Sally understands Charity.
Suzy, not so much. Suzy is a little bossy girl and takes control. She orders Sally around and puts a lot of needless demands upon their little business. Suzy likes Kool aid and enjoys drinking the profits, never reusing the same cup. Suzy gives Kool aid to the group of boys she likes free. They keep coming back time and again. When the Johnson boy comes to buy Kool aid with his little sister, Suzy will not sell to them because she is jealous of the little girls dress, and the Johnson boy has red hair. Mr. Jones finishes his yard work and comes over to buy kool aid for his 7 kids and himself. It is so good and cold he buys another round. Now the Girls are in business. The sold 14 cups of Kool aid @ $.50 each. That is $7! The rest of the day it is hot, but no one else comes by, except Suzy’s parents. Suzy insisted that parents should not have to pay for their Kool aid. Suzy Boasts that she made $7 on her Kool Aid stand! Sally too nice to spoil Suzy’s glowing praise from her parents just sits and stews. It gets late and Sally starts putting stuff away. Suzy sits and talks to the boys she has a crush on as they finish off the last of the Kool Aid. There is a $5 bill and Two $1 bills in their cash box. Suzy’s parents are now calling her home for Supper. Sally pays her little brother the $2 she promised him for riding around the block on his bike with a Kool Aid sign on it. Suzy gets mad and proclaims, “Your little Brother drank all the Kool Aid and never got us an customers.” Sally calmly explains that he did get Mr. Johnson to come over and that is where they made all their money! Suzy stomps around and grabs the $5 bill. “I made this fair and square!” yelled Suzy, “Besides Mr. Johnson is my neighbor! and he is a teacher with my mom at school!” “I am taking my profit,” Suzy says as she walks away with the $5 bill. Sally slumps into the chair. She just spent $5 so that she could employ her brother for $2 and have $5 stolen by a little socialist squirrel named Suzy!
Welcome to Socialist Squirrel America, small business Sally!
~Teddy Bear
“It sounds to me like you aren’t against wealth redistribution at all, there are just certain ways you don’t want wealth to be redistributed. ”
Shit, it took you that long to figure that out ?
I only said it plainly in the previous post.
“If that’s the case, why all the sophistry about socialism and wealth redistribution? Why go out of your way to trumpet a simplistic and inconsistent philosophy?”
The bottom line is that the brand of socialism you seem to espouse validates dropping money in the laps of those who dont deserve it.
Its all nice to be altrusitc, but do it with your own fucking money, alraight ?
Once this shit gets into play it will gnaw away at our society to the point where the right to private property and individualism will be taken over by government ownership of everything right down to my next buck.
So spare me your bullshit roundabout justifications and rationalizations for the level of socialism we have as an OK to go deeper onto more severe measures of it.
“How many of them voted for the socialist bail-out of Wall Street?”
I’ll tell you why this happened.
Simply because socialism begats socialism.
Had the housing bubble not been built on altruistic sentiments of giving people loans thay could neither afford or deserve we would not be in a position where a socialistic cure was needed.
Had the crappuest congress in our history just let these institutions fail as they should of, none of this would of been necessary.
This crap has gotten past simple wealth redistribution of monies not deserved to people and gone to point that the fed is actually taking ownership in banks.
Socialism eats itself in any application is it has ever encountered in history.
But no.
These morons keep thinking they can re write history and the meaning of insanity:
“To do the same thing over and over, and expect different results”
Wake the fuck up.
The individual is the one indivisible unit, and therefore the individual is the only proper standard of law, including, obviously, property law.
To subordinate the individual to the “collective”, to subordinate the individual to the “we,” which is all of socialism in a nutshell, is to subordinate the individual to the masses.
Which is precisely what the Untited States Constitution was meant to avoid. Thats why we dont live in a democracy but instead we live in a constitutional republic where the absolute right to life, liberty, and property are constitutionally guaranteed. This is not the case in democracies subjected to a vote or subject to the whims of a majority, but absolute.
In fact, our constitutional framers and those enlightenment thinkers who influenced these men the most were opposed to democracy simply because “democracy subordinates the individual to the majority.”
Democracy has only one place in our government, that is the selection of people, which refers to electing officials whose job it is to apply constitutional principles.
Those principles, the principles of rights are already in place and not subject to vote; nor was the selection of personnel ever meant to be a primary issue. The fact that it has become so. So when, for example, it is decided by vote whether or not you can open your liquor store on Sunday, or when its decided by vote if you can let people smoke in your place of business, or throw away your newspapers—tells you how little our politicians and legal philosophers understand/understood this nature of rights.
Look at how far away we’ve come from the original concept.
This however does not or should not give license for the implementaions to go deeper as some of Obamas plans suggest
That is why the absolute crux of this issue is private property, and not so much just income taxation or distributing wealth to a few undeserved, whether that property is owned by a corporation, or whether it is owned by you and you alone.
@Mickbear: This is gold Mickbear!
@Mickbear: Isn’t this fun Mickbear?
Hey, Socialism is the vehicle for cold hearted communism. That is why I hate it so! It is deceptive and seductive enough like an entrance drug. Once hooked, and individual has no freedom to fight when the communist grips thy throat.
Keep up the great work Mickbear!
