Battling Factions
The Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice battle is getting ready to take center stage again due to the possibility of Sen. Obama signing FOCA when he takes office in January. This is an issue that I believe speaks to the heart and I wanted to contrast the two sides with two different stories.
On the Pro-Choice side this story came to my attention the other day (I wish I could remember where I originally read it) and I thought I would throw in my two cents worth. Planned Parenthood of Indiana is selling gift certificates for Christmas. This flies in the face of any kind of reason to me. Christmas is the celebration of Christ’s birth, yet here is an organization who sells death cashing in on Christ’s birth. I find this reprehensible to say the least.
Some may argue that Planned Parenthood offers all kinds of services and that is true, yet the gift certificates have no restrictions on what they maybe used for. I just do not see how any kind of good that can come from this, selling death in the name of Christ’s birth is heartbreaking to me.

On the Pro-Life side I saw this story when Rightwingsparkle posted an amazing Rap video, (yes I know Rap is not my cup of tea either), done by a young rapper named according to my 17 year old daughter Pharell. The video is Can I Live and it is his story about abortion.
I must say that to see a young man rap about such a life and death issue was inspiring to me.
