Let the Games Begin-By: Michael A. Minton
- Okay, now that the Olympics are over, it’s time to let the REAL games begin! Yes, you know I’m talking about the political games that will accompany this year’s presidential election cycle. And I dare any of you to tell me this isn’t a game. There will be a winner and a loser, and if you don’t know the rules by game time, you’re just S.O.L. (so outta luck!).
This has been such a long election cycle, that I have to give credit to John McCain. I think it’s great that he has the stamina to keep up with a whipper-snapper like B. Hussein Obama. And I was equally impressed with Joe Biden’s running up the stage steps and his sprint across the stage to greet his new partner in crime. I guess he didn’t want to appear too senior next to the freshman senator for Illinois.
I have to say, though, that enough is enough. I’ve had all I can take of Obama and these other Democrat talking heads who have been trying to find some way to lay a glove on Sen. McCain. And he gave it to them last week, when he couldn’t answer “the house question.”
So the guy doesn’t know how many properties his wife has…big deal! And although he hasn’t used it as a defense, I would imagine that the fact is that those ARE his wife’s investments, not his. Therefore, I imagine he doesn’t concern himself in what is most likely his wife’s business affairs. After all, SHE was the one to inherit the $100 Million, not the senator.
And as I heard him say during an interview: “I know what it’s like not to have a table. I know what it’s like not to have a chair.” This man knows more about hard times than you and I will ever know. He spent 5.5 years as a “guest” of the North Vietnamese. How many of us can claim that?
I also heard on a talk show that John McCain’s aunt lives in one of those seven homes. So, maybe he knows more about the struggles of the lower and middle class than the media are ready to give him credit for.
I’ll have to say that at least he came into his money honestly. There is some question, in fact, a lot of questions, about just how honestly Mr. Obama came into money. Whether it be questions about his associations with a convicted felon/slumlord in Chicago (Resko), or questions about his affiliations with ACORN, the American public should demand some accountability out of B. Hussein Obama.
And that doesn’t even take into account his twenty-year kindred ship with racist pastor Jeremiah Wright, nor the statements by his wife, Michelle, saying that her husband’s candidacy is the first time in HER LIFE that she has been proud to be an American!
And what about this V.P. pick? When I think of Joseph Biden, all I can think of is the Alito hearings. Do you remember? All I can do is picture Joe Biden in the hearings trying to pick apart Justice Samuel Alito. Trying to pin him as a racist and sexist. Here was the opportunity for the Senate to ask questions of the nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States, so they could “advise and consent,” and all Biden could do was talk and accuse. Yes, that was the hearing that sent Alito’s wife running out of the room crying her head off. What a jerk.
I do not have time, at this juncture, to point out the liberal, maniacal legislation that Biden has stood for over the years, but you can bet I will before it’s time for you to decide on your pick for President (and Vice President) of the United States of America!
