Battle of the Blog Talkers! Left VS. Right on Fox Across America: Fox News Radio
FOX News Radio, America’s fastest-growing news radio network, and
BlogTalkRadio, the world’s largest citizen broadcasting network, have
partnered to bring listeners “Election 2008: Battle of the Blog
Talkers,” beginning Oct. 6 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
Listeners of FOX News Radio’s “FOX Across America,” carried on
FOXNewsRadio.com and Sirius XM Radio, will select their favorite
BlogTalkRadio hosts from each side of the political spectrum during a
weeklong, one-on-one tournament.
Hosted by Spencer Hughes, the FOX News Radio-BlogTalkRadio
co-production gets under way one month prior to Election Day. In Round
1 of the battle, Hughes will moderate a debate between two bloggers
from BlogTalkRadio’s Heading Left (liberal) station. Each blogger will
have five minutes of uninterrupted time to respond to the same topic.

Julie Pippert
- A writer, editor and publisher, Julie co-hosts BlogTalkRadio’s
“MOMocrats,” while contributing to the popular blog of the same name.
The Houston-based mom has also worked as a speechwriter for a U.S.
presidential candidate, and currently serves as editor-in-chief for
Moms Speak Up, a blog focusing on health, safety, business and the
environment.
Lynne Lupien
- Lynne is one-third of BlogTalkRadio’s “Left Ahead!” podcast trio. In
2005, she founded her own blog, LeftinLowell.com, which focuses on
state and local politics. Lynne also hosts a weekly college-radio show
in her hometown of Lowell, Mass. In “real life,” she’s a self-employed
graphic designer, web designer and artist.
David McLaughlin
- In 1999, David co-founded electyou.com, which designs websites for
Democratic candidates and organizations nationwide. Prior to that, he
served as news and sports director at WAG-TV, in his hometown of Rome,
Ga. Currently a public school teacher in Floyd County, Ga., David
launched his BlogTalkRadio show, “Kudzu Vine,” in 2007.
Tom D’Antoni
- Tom is a journalist living in Portland, Ore., where he writes for The
Oregonian newspaper and LivePDX.com. Formerly a producer/reporter for
Oregon Public Broadcasting, he is also author of the 2005 humor book,
“Rabid Nun Infects Entire Convent and Other Sensational Stories from a
Tabloid Writer.” He currently co-hosts Blogtalk Radio’s “D’Antoni &
Levine.”
Kevin Ross
- Kevin is president and CEO of 3BAAS Media Group, a strategic
marketing and public relations firm specializing in Internet and Web
2.0 communications. The former Los Angeles judge turned tech-savvy
entrepreneur also hosts “The Kevin Ross Show” on Blogtalkradio, and
writes for the 3 Brothers and A Sister blog.
Chad Everson
- An entrepreneur, artisan and activist by day, Chad hosts
BlogTalkRadio’s “Grizzly Groundswell” in his off hours, seeking to
unite conservative thought, voice and image across America. The North
Dakota native, now living in Princeton, Minn., is a former video-game
retailer who runs The Clay Empire, which specializes in Raku clay tiles.
Elizabeth Blackney
- Known to myriad Republicans as “Media Lizzy,” Elizabeth is host of a
BlogTalkRadio show of the same moniker, while also serving as managing
editor for the network’s Heading Right station. A former media and
communications strategist for incumbents and challengers seeking state
Congressional and U.S. Senate seats, and the presidency, she now
resides in Bend, Ore. – and encourages debate wherever she works.
Andrea Shea King
- As host of BlogTalkRadio’s “Andrea Shea King Show,” Andrea takes a
daily look at top U.S. and international news stories while promoting
the concept of limited government – and keeping liberals in check. The
Cape Canaveral, Fla., resident also contributes to World Net Daily and
pens her opinions on The Radio Patriot blog.
