Mrs. Olson

Hi Doug,
It’s important to stop and remember the people behind the poll numbers and fund-raising goals. On our coast-to-coast road-trip, we’ve seen a lot of candidates. In Sugar Land, TX, we saw how important their families are.
After going door to door with Congressional candidate Pete Olson (TX - 22), we stopped by his campaign office to meet his wife and two young children. During our visit, I was able to sit down with Mrs. Olson and talk with her about our trip.
Running for office is a huge commitment of time and energy — not just
for the candidate, but for the entire family. For all Mrs. Olson knew
about the race and how active she was in the campaign, she could have
been the one running for office!Whenever you’re doing something important, you need to have the support of the people around you. Mrs. Olson is there for her husband and children — and you’re there for us. All through our trip, I’ve been grateful for my friends and family, and especially for people like you who are following along with us online.
Thank you,
Kerry Donnelly
P.S. Make sure you check out Jeremy’s blog post about our visit with Pete.
